Representative of an Overseas Business is a route for overseas businesses to send a senior employee to the UK in order to establish a commercial presence of the company in the UK.
Eligible individual who holds a senior position within the company whose headquarters are outside the UK (also known as parent company), when this company is planning to set up a wholly owned subsidiary or register a branch in the UK for the overseas parent company, and where this individual is appointed as the sole representative of this company in the UK, responsible for running the business, can apply under this route.
There are no investments required for this type of visa, though there are a set of requirements to be met.
If you are successful in your application, you will be granted with initial representative of an overseas business visa for 3 years which can then be extended for another 2 years. After you have been in the UK for a continuous period of 5 years, you are eligible to apply for indefinite leave to remain.
